Technology Careers

One career that i found which i was not aware of was the software developer. Software developers create softwares like java or adobe. This process to creating a software takes time and a lot of skills in programming in C++. Software Developers make up to an average of $95,000 and the amount of jobs are increasing with the new spread of technology going global, we need new softwares to support these devices.
A career that interested me the most in terms of  a potential career path is being a lead programmer in the game industry. The lead programmer spot is the most revered in the game industry and also does the most work. The lead programmer programs the whole game and has to be top notch in programming on C++. The average lead programmer makes around $90,000 give or take.
A career that I see myself doing in ten years is the game programming and i say this because i know i will have fun working with people create games for people to play and have fun with. Just knowing people are going to play my games and having fun is something that just seems awesome and i would love to to do that for a living.
in order to prepare for this career the best would be to take some summer classes in highschool and some college courses to get the qualifications needed to be even looked at as a game programmer. The thing you need to be most proficient in is programming in C++ so majoring in C++ programming would be good to prepare for the job.
So how am I going to prepare? I am going to take some classes during the summer and get ready for college. When i'm in college i'm going to take C++ programming classes and graduate in 5 years. When i'm done i will go job hunting start off with a small company and eventually be with with a big studio and create games games for a living and be a part of the game industry.

Programming The Robot

In my experience with programming my robot I noticed it was a lot like making a website. The programming has classes and brackets where you put the coding. The beginning was very similar to building a scratch game with the forever loops and similar commands.

Blog Entry: Programming with Scratch

My First Animation
My first first impression of scratch was how easy and simple it was to use. There was no complex mechanics and everything you need was easy to get to. The easiest part of the system was starting the animation and moving. The greatest challenge was hiding sprites or characters and  having to make them reappear again. You needed to broadcast a signal and have the other sprites receive them and do specific actions.I never found anything difficult and it was really easy although the signals were a little complex for such a simple program.I would like to learn more so i can have a better looking animation that looks smooth.

My First Game
My first game was a maze game because it was easy and simple to create. I used an octopus as the moveable object and you have to get to the other side where his spaceship is. To move you use the arrow keys. I made it a little difficult by making it so you can't touch any walls and balls that hit and send you to the beginning. To progress in the maze you have to touch the buttons which move a ghoul out of your way so you can go to the next level.

My Second Game
My second game was an easy platforming jumper game. I used an image off of google to be the object you control. the objective of the game was to reach the door and not fall to the bottom or else you will start from the beginning of the first level. I mad a left and right jump button and a right long jump bottom. I made a makeshift gravity by making it so you have to touch the platforms or else you will fall to the bottom and have to start all over.
